Arizona Restaurant Week: Harvest

This place just opened less than a year ago in Oro Valley by the same restauranteurs of Hacienda del Sol.  It is actually a 5-minute drive from our house, but we never bothered because our experience at Hacienda del Sol was quite disappointing to say the least.  Since it's restaurant week, we decided to give it a try.

We sat outside today thanks to the nice weather.

For appetizers J had the mussels and clams in curry sauce and I had the Farmer's cheese tart.  I didn't take any pictures of the appetizers because I was feeling a little embarrassed taking pictures of my food.  We both thought appetizers were good, but not as good as what we had at Feast.  Taste 8/10.

Later, I discretely took pictures of our entree and dessert.  

Striped Bass on Okinawa sweet potatoes with grilled pineapple relish: bass was grilled crisp on the outside and moist on the inside.  Extremely flavorful.

Taste: 10/10

J had the Lobster Mac & Cheese with brocollini and tomato pomadoro: rich and creamy.  Lobster was cooked to perfection.

Taste: 8/10

Strawberry cheesecake panna cotta: rich, but too sweet.

Taste: 7/10

J had the chocolate truffle beignets: 'interesting' because he didn't expect the chocolate to ooze into his mouth when he bit into the beignets (he apparently forgot that his dessert was 'chocolate' truffle beignets)

Taste: 7/10

All in all, we were pleasantly surprised and agreed that we would definitely come back, especially when it's just right around the corner.
