I love the internet for the simple fact that you can learn something new all the time. For example, I came across this time-lapsed video showing how a crab sheds its shell. First of all, it has never occurred to me that crabs shed their shells, but after watching this it makes perfect sense - they grow out of their exoskeleton. Duh!
It looked like the crab 'pooped' itself out.
that looks a bit creepy. now my question is, what happens to the old shell?
