Bummed Out

It's been 5 days since I've ran, and I am BUMMED OUT!  Went biking twice this week to try to maintain my cardiovascular fitness, but it's just not the same.  I'd whizz by runners and I'd think to myself, 'I'd rather be running than sitting on my sore ass trying to figure out which gear to shift to.'  I honestly think I've lost weight this week because I'm moping around the kitchen without an appetite feeling sorry for myself.  I'm envious of all the runners I see when I drive to & from work, and feel that the running world has moved on without me.  I have one more rest day, and I'm worried that may not be enough because I still feel some discomfort in the achilles from time to time.  When is my Kinesio Tex Tape arriving, UPS???

  1. Hang in there. Have you considered yoga?

  2. that's what i said! You should do it on a regular basis to stretch out everything--to prevent injuries. In the meantime, your body needs to rest and heal!! Patience!
