J and I have actually been here before, and thought it was pretty decent. Since the restaurant was offering $29 for appetizer, entree, and dessert, we decided to come back.
Fried calamari: crispy and light, but lacked flavor. The cocktail sauce was too 'ketchupy', and I hate ketchup. Huge portion for one person.
Taste: 7/10
Prime rib eye 12oz: steak was slightly undercooked for me (ordered medium rare, but it was more on the rarer side), not salty or warm enough.
Taste: 7/10
The caramelized carrot was the best part, with a little cinnamon; tasted a bit like yams, and I love yams.
Taste: 10/10
Mash was average, took only one bite, because it was nothing too special, and I was a bit full, and wanted to eat more of the carrot.
Taste: 7/10
Chocolate marbled amaretto cheesecake: bit too dry, but the whipped cream was awesome.
Taste 6/10.
Banana nut bread pudding: J had ordered this and he thought it was only OK.
Taste 6/10.
We had a bottle of the 2005 Maryhill cab, which was the same one we ordered last time we were there, but hadn't been able to find it at any retail stores since. Good wine; very smooth throughout. Service was attentive, even though they never brought me my boxed leftovers; we decided not to ask for it since J believed they had tossed it out, and I was too stuffed to care. All in all, it was a nice dinner mostly because of the company :D
